2023 High School Scholarship Recipient

Ella is a 2023 graduate of Boylan Catholic High School, where she was an Honor Roll student, Scholar Athlete, and participated in multiple clubs and extracurriculars. She will be attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Fall 2023, and plans to major in Political Science to lead into the Pre-law program. She plans to attend law school and receive her Juris Doctor (JD) and become an attorney. Ella is undecided on the area of law she wants to pursue, but she is currently leaning towards Family Law.

When asked why she enjoys giving back to the community, Ella stated,

"I enjoy giving back to the community because it feels good to give. I feel more joy and fulfillment from helping others than just doing things for myself. If I have the opportunity to change lives, I'm going to take it. Also, some people aren't able to give back to the community so by me giving, I give others the opportunity to give back and better themselves. When I help in my community, I get the chance to meet new people and make friends. It also provides me with great leadership skills to use in my career."
